Proven Performance

The technology used in traditional grease traps was developed in the1880s. Quite simply, most standard grease traps cannot meet the demands of today’s overtaxed infrastructure.

The Retroceptor is a game-changer in the food service industry. It dramatically increases grease removal performance, yielding a 99.6 % reduction in the amount of fats, oil and grease (FOG) released into the wastewater stream. This compares to PDI-certified grease traps that remove only 90%.

The current effluent standard for grease traps is 1,200 ppm of free oil. The Retroceptor has been proven to perform at 60 ppm of free oil.
