Green Turtle chosen for Ontario's Green Schools Pilot InitiativeToronto, ON. - The Ontario Ministry of Education in partnership with
the Ministry of Research and Innovation has announced that Green Turtle's Reflo rainwater harvesting solution will be installed in two
Ontario school buildings as part of their Green Schools Pilot Initiative.

 

After completing an evaluation of companies that develop, manufacture and market innovative green products the Ministry of Research and Innovation invited Green Turtle to participate in the Initiative. Soon after that, the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board and the CSD catholique de Centre-Est de l'Ontario then chose Reflo for two of their schools.

 

The HWCDSB has chosen to install the rainwater harvesting system at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Carlisle, Ontario. "We thought this
community would be a perfect fit. We want to be green," said Morris Hucal, HWCDSB's principal of elementary programs. "We have an
opportunity to really be pioneers in this technology. We should celebrate this because this is a wonderful opportunity to educate others about it."
