	For acid neutralization applications, PHIX™ Media replaces the regular use of caustic, marble or lime beads. PHIX™ Media is a proprietary mix of solid alkali non-resin materials. It is consumed throughout the neutralization process and is added to the process as required. It permits better control over effluent pH and eliminates the need for special storage or handling required by traditional hazardous neutralizing chemicals.

Pac System The PHIX Pac is an acid pH neutralization system using permeable packets that contain Green Turtle’s environmentally-friendly PHIX Media. The PHIX Pac system is available in 5 lb packages, which are placed into neutralization tanks and can be easily removed and replaced. The 5-to-1 Advantage PHIX Media has been shown to outperform limestone by a factor of 5 to 1. Just 20 pounds of PHIX Media can achieve the same results as 100 pounds of limestone. PHIX Pacs save both time and money, while providing superior treatment of acidic wastewater to meet sanitary sewer regulation limits. The PHIX Pac Advantage PHIX Pacs are much easier to handle than limestone. At the end of its useful life, limestone needs to be shoveled or vacuumed from the neutralization basin. “Caking” or “cementing” of the limestone often makes this operation difficult. The PHIX Pac comes in durable, easy-to-handle 5 pound pouches that can easily by removed from the neutralization basin.
